This place was a great room overall, definitely good for the price. The only issue we had was the lack of community wifi but other than that the place was good. Made some good memories with my family.
I am actually very impressed. This is certainly an old motel that has seen better times. BUT our room is clean, new carpet, bed decent with good mattress. Not a speck of dust anywhere! New flat screen TV with cable, WiFi. New microwave and fridge with freezer. We brought our own coffee maker. Don't expect designer soap and shampoo, just bring your own stuff. We came to bicycle and the motel is right by the park! Harcourt Motel is our new favorite place to stay in Mt. Vernon!
Okay, so it's not the Ritz. But the three times I've stayed there, the sheets were clean, the bathroom serviceable and no problems with management or guests. If you're expecting a pillow mint, then don't stop here. But if you want a good night's sleep, it's great for the $40 price!!
Rooms I’ve been in have been clean. The family who runs this motel are very nice and welcoming. There are many rooms with “long term” guests who live there, have never had an issue. I’ve been staying here every weekend for the past 4 months and I’ve enjoyed my stay every time.
